Advanced Elements Packlite Kayak is a super lightweight inflatable kayak that packs down small. The PackLite is great for traveling and camping. However, this boat is best suited for paddling in calm lakes and mild rivers. The rigid internal structure makes it feel like a hard-shell kayak on the water while still maintaining the portability of an inflatable kayak.
The Packlite Kayak is made with our high-performance fabric, reinforced with three separate layers of material for extreme puncture resistance. The exterior layer is a tough ripstop polyester fabric that resists abrasion. The middle layer is a polyurethane coating that provides superior adhesion to the inner PVC layer. The Montana kayak is designed for extreme whitewater. The hull is designed so that the boat should not hold water in the event of a capsize. In addition, the boat’s primary air chamber is surrounded by an outer cover to help prevent punctures. This helps prevent water from entering the boat while paddling, as well as helping to keep the air in the ship if punctured.
We’ve also added fin-like projections on the bottom of the boat to help with tracking and steering. These projections also help keep water out of the boat when paddling in rough conditions or on rivers where there are standing waves or hydraulics (holes).

The Right Kayak for Your Activity

There are no crevices for mold or mildew to grow in, and you don’t have to worry about buying a cover for it. Inflatable kayaks can be stored almost anywhere – under your bed, in the closet, in the trunk of your car, etc. You can even take them with you on an airplane if you want.
Inflatable kayaks are the most cost-effective option and the right choice for you if you’re looking for a recreational kayak that can be used in all types of water (lakes, rivers, oceans) with one or two people. The downside to inflatable kayaks is that they are not as durable as hardshell kayaks and can be punctured.
What To Do When Water Gets In The Kayak
When kayaking in the ocean, it is almost inevitable that you will get a little bit of water in your kayak. This can be a pain when it happens, but it does not usually mean that the entire trip is ruined. However, there are some things to keep in mind as you learn how to deal with water getting in your kayak.
You should always bring a towel with you when you go out on the water. If you have a small amount of water in your kayak and want to get rid of it quickly, reach down, soak up some of the liquid with the towel, and then wring the towel out into the water.
If there is excessive water in your kayak, you might not want to overexert yourself by trying to lift all of the water at once. Now inflate each chamber with air until it feels very firm or solid, then move onto the next section. If there are only two chambers, place one foot at either end of each room and press down firmly. If there are three chambers, put one foot on each end chamber and press down firmly with both feet while placing your other hand in the middle section and pressing down firmly. This action will force out any excess air between each chamber, making everything nice and tight for paddling.
The whole process for inflating and deflating usually takes about two minutes but can vary depending on the kayak, size, and environment.
Handling The Kayak
Handling the kayak starts with getting in and out of it. Don’t just step in and sit down — unless you want to take a swim. Slide one leg in, then the other. Get situated and secure before you reach for your paddle. Then, grab your paddle and try one of the three strokes below.
The forward stroke is the most common in kayaking and is used for changing direction and moving ahead in a forward direction. This stroke can be performed on either side of the boat but is typically performed on the same side as your dominant hand (right-handed people use their right hand).
The reverse stroke is executed exactly like the forward stroke but in reverse. This is not an easy feat since most paddles are symmetrical, and the blade curves away from the boat when used in reverse. It’s also more difficult because your paddle will be fighting against water pressure as it moves back towards your ship rather than away from it.
The draw stroke is used for turning your kayak left or right by pulling water towards either. In addition, the draw stroke can be used to pull or push yourself closer or further from a dock, another craft, or object. The draw stroke can also move along the side of a boat to climb in or out of your kayak.
The first step to executing the draw stroke is to be sure you have an appropriate paddle and sit in the correct position on your kayak seat. Your paddle should suit your size and weight and the type of kayaking you will be doing. Next, you must check that the paddle is not too long by holding it in front of you with both hands placed on top of each other at the top of the shaft. If the blade is touching the ground, it is too long and must be shortened.
Weight
The weight of a kayak is an important consideration when trying to get a kayak on the roof of your vehicle or carrying it down to the beach. For cold weather or cold water, a spray skirt is essential for keeping you warm and dry inside the boat’s cockpit, especially if the cockpit has open seats rather than enclosed ones. Spray skirts should be made from waterproof material and have elastic at the base to keep them snug against your body and the sides of the kayak’s cockpit opening.
Finally, a dry bag will keep your items safe and dry while you’re out on the water. Again, there are different sizes to choose from depending on how much gear you plan to bring with you.
Storage
